The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the search for a stand up paddle boarder who was reported missing Sunday.
According to Lt. Shelly Brown, public affairs officer for the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi, the man was last seen paddling out into the water near the jetties on the south side of South Padre Island. “A fellow citizen saw a person paddling out,” she said. Officials received a call reporting the man missing at approximately 4:30 p.m., she said.
