The Port Isabel Tarpons managed only 15 points in the first half of their game against the Hidalgo Pirates Tuesday night. They more than doubled that total in the second half as they outscored the Pirates 35-33, but Hidalgo maintained the advantage to hold on for a 69-50 win at Tarpon Gym.
It looked like a good old-fashioned blow-out in the first half as the visiting Pirates led 17-6 at the end of quarter number one, and 36-15 in the second.
