County beaches closed until further notice

Effective immediately, Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr. has ordered the temporary closure (until further notice) of the following county beach access points:

1. County Beach Access No. 5 (north of South Padre Island)

1. County Beach Access No. 6 (north of South Padre Island)
2. Boca Chica Beach

These county beaches are being temporarily closed to vehicular traffic due to extremely high tides and undriveable conditions.  We ask that all individuals be cautious when visiting our beaches.
