The Port Isabel Lady Tarpons volleyball team lost a tough five-set match to La Feria Tuesday night at home. With the win the Lionettes take the season series with Port Isabel, two matches to none. They also won the first match, 3-0, in La Feria back on Sept. 17.
La Feria improves to 9-2 in district play and maintains its second-place standing in District 32-4A behind Raymondville, who has a 10-1 league record. Port Isabel falls to 3-8 in the district standings and has been eliminated from the post-season playoff picture.
La Feria overcame a 2-0 deficit in sets to win by the scores, 17-25,16-25, 25-21, 27-25,15-10.
