The Port Isabel High Silver Tarpon Marching Band continues to put in long hours of practice in this last week before the start of classes next Monday.  And the schedule changes on a daily basis.

On Monday of this week the band was working on the new show from 2:30 to 5:00 in the afternoon, and returned to the main parking lot of the high school for a 7:00 to 9:00 evening session.  This Wednesday they worked outside from 1:30 to 4:00, and from 8:00 to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 on Thursday.  Friday’s outdoor practice was planned for two hours, 12:30 to 2:30.

Head director for the Silver Tarpon band, Scott Hartsfield talked this week about where the band is in its preparation of the new show.
