Martinez was a four-year varsity member of the volleyball, basketball, and softball teams, and was also a pole vaulter for the track team.

In basketball she was voted RGV Vipers All-Star Newcomer of the Year as a freshman Lady Tarpon.  She was 1st Team All-District as a junior and was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year for District 32-4A for her senior season.  She led the Valley in steals for the 2015-2016 season.
