Cameron County Constable’s deputies have arrested a Laguna Heights man in connection with a burglary at tire shop in the area.

Gilberto Garza was charged with burglary of a building, a state jail felony, after allegedly burglarizing an automotive business on the 900 block of Highway 100 in Laguna Heights.

Over $1,000 worth of mechanics tools were taken from the business during the overnight hours on May 11. Constable’s deputies were called to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. that morning and began their investigation, which led them to Garza.
