Family fun and food were celebrated Tuesday evening at Roloff Park in Laguna Vista.

Hosted by the Laguna Vista Police Department, with assistance from the Town itself, the event has roots dating back to 1984, when the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada first organized the concept of such community-wide events.

Designed to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts, the celebration drew the support of Town officials and citizens alike, enjoying an entertaining night under the stars.
