Months of winter rain has led to a spectacular spring bloom all across the Valley. The bright reds, yellows and purples of prickly pear cactus flowers, Texas thistle and lantana provide a perfect feast for pollinating insects of all sorts.
The flowers should continue to bloom on into the summer, with Indian blankets, daisies and various varieties of warm yellow sunflowers filling fields and medians in the weeks to come.
