That rumble that can be heard in the distance signals the arrival of one of South Padre Island’s biggest events of the year: Beach-N-Biker Fest 2015. Hundreds of bikers are expected to roll onto the Island, riding everything from cruisers, to choppers, to cafe racers and sport bikes.

The three-day-long event will feature plenty of live music, food, and a warehouse-sized room full of merchandise at the South Padre Island Convention Centre. Among several other events, riders and bike enthusiasts alike can look forward to one of the fest’s signature events, the Grand Bike Parade, which takes place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The parade features dozens of riders who cruise from Port Isabel across the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway onto the Island, ultimately ending at the Convention Centre.

Other events include a tattoo contest where fest-goers can show off their body art, a poker run, dyno drags, stunt riding in the “Globe of Death,” biker games, and music by headliners the Georgia Satellites.

Doors open at 9 a.m. all three days and tickets can be purchased in one-day, or advance purchased weekend-long passes. For more information, visit www.beachnbikerfest.com.
