Retired teacher Philip Dodson has lived in the Laguna Madre area for 25 years and lately has been taking part in a rather unique hobby to pass his free time with. Having a lifelong interest in photography and the ocean, Dodson made an investment in an aerial drone to photograph and video different sides of his home. He took a hands-on class on how to operate and manage an aerial drone and hasn’t stopped taking photographs since.

“I got hooked,” said Dodson. “I love photography in general, but I thought I needed something different. It’s just a new way to look at things. Very few people get to see where they live from the air.”
