‘Sentinel of the Coast’ to be installed on Island

The third of four new “Sentinels of the Coast” data collection stations is going in at Brazos Santiago Pass in South Padre Island, beginning Friday, Nov. 7.

Crews start by lifting and driving the 140 foot long pile into the sea floor. Lifting the top section of the structure onto the pile is expected as soon as the pile is installed.
