Wednesday evening’s City Council meeting proved to be another eventful one. The meeting lasted for over two hours and covered a variety of topics, the most controversial being the approval of a Specific Use Permit (SUP) request for Origins Recovery Center to build in the Padre Beach and Jones Gardere Subdivisions.
A Public Hearing was opened to give citizens the opportunity to speak in favor or in opposition to Origin’s permit request. Two spoke in favor and six opposed.
