Eight more days remain for those in the American Military Support (AMS) campaign that calls for residents to help local troops stationed overseas and win a chance to see the Dallas Cowboys the process.

As previously reported, AMS is a nonprofit organization specializing in sending care (or “Quality of Life”) packages to Rio Grande Valley soldiers stationed overseas. But AMS co-founder Emma Alvarado said fans of America’s Team now have the opportunity to win a Dallas Cowboy family getaway to the Dec. 24 game in which Big D will take on the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles by giving a small donation.

An AMS fundraiser consists of collecting a $3.00 donation to help pay for the distribution of the packages sent to Valley troops.

The incentive, other than supporting local soldiers, is that each donator will be entered into a raffle to win the aforementioned Cowboys package, which includes four tickets to the game and $300.00 spending money along with hotel accommodations (one day, one night), not to mention a $150.00 gas card. The winner will be selected in a raffle and announced Dec. 15, 2011.
