Children from the Port Isabel elementary schools took to the streets on Monday, Oct. 31 for Halloween, visiting businesses along the downtown region of the city. This form of celebration was started for the children who would otherwise not be able to take part in the annual festivities outside of school. Teachers and volunteers guided the children along sidewalks, and each participating business, including the Port Isabel-South Padre Press, opened their doors to smiling and expectant little faces.
