A Special Election will be held in the City of South Padre Island on Tuesday, Nov. 8, for the purpose of dissolving the South Padre Island Economic Development Corporation (Type “A”) and the discontinuance of its one-half of the one percent Sales and Use Tax, and to adopt a Type “B” Economic Development Corporation Sales and Use Tax at the rate of one-half of one percent.
