LV to discuss parks

With $1.5 million in certificates of obligation just approved for parks, building and other improvements in Laguna Vista, the town council and Parks and Recreation board will meet in a workshop session, Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss project what project will be funded by the COs.

Possible sites for improvements include a youths’ sports park near Tanglewood Apartments, a new recreational facility at Roloff Park, and a new $125,000 jogging/walking trail on a 15-acre tract of land.

Also built into the COs are provisions to pay off the balance due on the town’s fire truck and upgrades to the Town Hall at 122 Fernandez St. The meeting to discuss the fire truck is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 5:15 p.m.
