As the Tarpons took to the field for the first time in the 2011-2012 season, the faithful fans filled the bleachers to cheer on their team.

After the show of force put forth by the 4A Weslaco East Wildcats, the Tarpons were able to test their steel and come out all the wiser.

The fans, though disappointed by the lack of scores, stood by the team with faith.

Joe Vega, 19, from Laguna Heights said, “I think it’s going to be a pretty good season this year. … They are fighters.”
