Tanglewood agreement approved

LV2Creation of new soccer and baseball fields — along with some new recreational facilities — should be available soon for Laguna Vista youth, thanks to cooperative action taken by the Town and Cameron County Housing Authority.

“This has been a pet project that I have been working on since January and I am happy to see it finalized,” Mayor Susie Houston said Tuesday in issuing the motion to solidify plans for the play area.

The Town has long seen the need to provide recreational facilities at alternate locations throughout the community. Currently, such fields are located only at Roloff Park.
