Major parks and trail improvements in Laguna Vista are expected with the Town’s recent hiring of a professional firm to design and develop a new $800,000 facility here.
GMS Architects was selected by the City Council to develop a master plan for improvements to Roloff Park, and to design and prepare construction plans for a new walking/jogging trail on the 15-acre tract of land set aside for recreational use.
Council members Leti Keplinger and Michael Carter were named to serve on a six-member board to guide the development process. Two representatives from the Community Development Corporation and two from the Parks Board will also be named, following a recommendation by Councilman Bill Schnier.
