The Laguna Madre Humane Society (LMHS) will be moving their office operations to 103 E. Maxan Street in Port Isabel.

“This location allows us to organize future efforts for assisting the animals that come to the Isabella Y. Garcia Shelter; as well as to work with the community through low cost Spay and Neuter and education for the care of their pets,” said Kyna Farmer, a LMHS representative.

They hope to also establish a second resale shop called “Wags” to complement their “Whiskers” store located on the Island.

A meet and greet date for the opening of the new location will be announced in the near future.
