Here are the results from the District 32-3A Junior-Var­sity Track and Field Meet in Rio Grande City on April 7, 9.

Lady Tarpon Finishers

Pole vault: Nyssa Salinas, 2nd, 6 ft. 0 in.

Long jump: Shelly Cam­pos, 6th, 11 ft. 10 in.

3200-meter run: Shelly Campos, 3rd, 14:43.08

100-meter dash: Jessica Perez, 2nd, 14.08 sec.; and Nyssa Salinas, 3rd, 14.23 sec.

4×100-meter relay: Port Isabel, 2nd, 59.84 sec.

The Lady Tarpons placed 5th in the final team standings with 45 points. La Feria won the district championship with 214 points. Grulla was 2nd with 135 points, followed by Zapata, 3rd, 81 points; and Progreso, 4th, 51 points.
