Second body washes up on SPI

By ANTONIO VINDELL

The body of a second man, who presumably drowned the same night another man died in gulf waters last week, washed ashore Wednesday night about nine miles north of Beach Access 6, authorities said.

The same authorities believe the two victims were Mexican fishermen whose boat capsized Thursday, December 30.

The body of the first man has been identified as Juan Carrillo Velazquez.  The 31 year old man was reportedly last seen on December 28 while fishing in gulf waters off Playa Bagdad, also known on the Mexican side of the border as Lauro Villar Beach.

The fishing boat Carillo Velazquez was riding in reportedly capsized. His body was found late Thursday night.
