The Port Isabel Lady Tarpons made it two wins in two days last week, as they ended the year with decisions over La Joya Palmview and La Grulla of Rio Grande City.
Both games were played on the road. Coach Alan Ward’s squad took the bus up the Valley to La Joya on Thursday and came out on top of Palmview, 53-25. The next day it was an even longer ride to Rio Grande City, where the Ladies coasted past La Grulla, 56-11.
La Joya Palmview is a 5A school (Dist. 30-5A) and came in at 0-3 in district play and 4-15 overall.
