The new Stripes convenience store at Texas Highway 100 and FM 510 is slated to open this week, and officials and residents with the Town of Laguna Vista are really excited.

The store is a prototype that the Corpus Christi-based company has been introducing in the Rio Grande Valley over the last several years.

The store has eight pumps with 16 pumping stations and about 6,500 feet of store space.
