The Keep South Padre Island Beautiful campaign traveled across the Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge last week.

Several committee members with the year-old organization met with a group of school children at the Laguna Madre Boys & Girl Club where they stressed the importance of keeping a city clean.

Equipped with canvas bags bought with some of the $3,000 in grant money SPI received from H-E-B and Keep Texas Beautiful, they told the students to make their own creations using fabric paint on each bag.
