The old causeway that is now in a state of abandonment east of Long Island could be revamped and converted into a recreational place.
An investor out of South Carolina is planning to pump in $15 million to build a recreational vehicle park with 106 sites, 6 water side floating cabanas and up to 20 boat slips.
The investor, RVL, has filed a petition for voluntary annexation of a 6.38-acre tract with the City of Port Isabel.
